Colorado Gold Medal Water
Colorado Gold Medal Water
| For a stream to be designated as “Gold Medal,” the Colorado Wildlife Commission has to consider if it provides outstanding opportunities to grow and catch large trout. This designation represents the highest quality trout habitat that Colorado has to offer. Some areas may require special regulations and some areas may be stocked. Only 167.8 miles of the more than 9,000 miles of trout streams in Colorado are included in this class. As other waters qualify, they may also be designated as “Gold Medal Streams.” |
